In this pandemic with so much stress around us let us learn about this wonderful hormone that makes us feel happy, calm, and joyful.

Hormones are chemically produced by different glands in our body. They act as messengers traveling through the bloodstream.

The four main happy hormones are: 1. Serotonin. 2. Dopamine. 3. Oxytocin. 4. Endorphin.

1. Serotonin ( mood stabilizer):

Serotonin is responsible for mood, digestion, brain function, and circadian rhythm. 90% of serotonin is produced in the gut. So a healthy gut could calm your brain and keep you happy.

How to induce serotonin?

A high-fiber diet and workout are responsible to boost serotonin hormones in the body.

2. Dopamine ( Reward hormone)

It creates motivation, learning pleasure, and determination needed to accomplish goals.

3. Oxytocin (The love hormone)

4. Endorphin ( pain killer hormone)

Endorphin is released through yoga, meditation, dark chocolate a good laugh.

Involving in art, dance, and music.

There are some natural ways to increase your levels of dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin which will boost your mood, emotions, and even cognitive function. Activities like exercise, eating a meal with loved ones, and increasing your intake of prebiotics and probiotics are all beneficial.
