Isn't this the ugly truth?
Every time I got upon that weighing scale while on a fitness journey I always skipped a heartbeat until I realized how the weighing scale was just not the right way of scaling my progress. As long as we are progressing we are happy but the moment the scale stops reducing we get frustrated and demotivated and would want to just give up. This fluctuation or increase in weight might not just be due to fat gain there are several more factors that contribute to these fluctuations.
Scale can't tell you whether you are stressed, have a hormonal imbalance, or have had sleepless nights and are dehydrated these are the major factors leading to weight gain while you are still on the deficit and doing extremely well in your weight loss journey.
Instead of getting stressed and making it even more worst take a step back and check if you fit in your old clothes, and if your energy levels and stamina have gone up. Weight is just a number don't let it quantify your hard work and grit. There is always a better parameter to compare your progress.
Celebrate every milestone before you create the next new milestone. Just remember there are many who want to reach where you are today. What matters is you are already on that journey progressing each day and the day is not far when you will finally reach your goal.
