DON'T MAKE YOUR BIGGEST STRENGTH YOUR WEAKNESS:
While I talk to a lot of mothers looking to reduce their postpartum weight the biggest excuse is "My kids are small and I don’t have time for any workout". Being a mother of 2 and the youngest being just 15 months old, the time has never been on my side. Household chores, work, kids, school, and family sucked in all my time.
Being a busy mom I was the last to eat, ate leftovers, and even sometimes skipped my meal altogether. Sunk in depression gave me permission to eat ice cream so did my good mood days as well. As a result, my mood, and energy were always fluctuating so were my weight and metabolism.
Several times I made a genuine effort to hit a gym, most of the time it was the guilt of leaving behind 6 months that killed me while the rest of the time it was my excuses. My fatigue and depression were so high that I justified neither my inner nor the outer world. That's when I realized " WHEN I TAKE CARE OF MYSELF I TAKE CARE OF THE ENTIRE FAMILY."
Trust me I have no time, is just another excuse you make to get away. Make yourself a priority and there you find all the time for self-care. Fitness is a gift that you are just not gifting yourself but also to the next generation. Teach them to respect their body, invest time in themselves and live a healthy fit life.
BEFORE WE PREACH LET'S WALK THAT PATH, TO SET AS AN EXAMPLE FOR OUR YOUNGER GENERATION TO FOLLOW.
STOP FEELING GUILTY FOR THINKING ABOUT YOURSELF.
BEFORE YOU QUIT, REMEMBER WHO IS WATCHING YOU
