THE SECRET OF CHANGE IS TO FOCUS NOT ON FIGHTING THE OLD BUT ON BUILDING THE NEW
We see most of us when we decide to lose weight go to extreme levels like:
1. Cutting down drastically on calories 2. Survive only on green veggies 3. Reduce carbs, and fats in food 4. Long-distance running, sit-ups for a flat stomach, insane workout till all our energy is drained out, and if no result in a week reset and make a new plan.
In short a highly restrictive approach to nutrition, a cardio-based approach for fat loss, and a lack of patience when attempting to lose weight. This is where we exactly go wrong.
Weight gain never happens in a day or month it happens over a period of time, then how can we expect it to lose in a day or month? Sustainable lifestyle changes should be the right way to deal with sustainable weight loss. Personally, I have spent working on building habits into my lifestyle that is now my routine.
Some of them include:
1. Eating more vegetables 2. Prioritizing my sleep 3. Making healthier food choices 4. Instead of taking a load on working out for rigid routines just work out whenever I can and give my best when I do it 5. Meditation
In short what I mean is you don't need to work your ass out by hitting the gym for 2 hours every day and making sure you draining all your energy instead watch your calories, make better choices, listen to your body and focus on being a better version of yourself than yesterday. Let's make this journey beautiful so that it just doesn't become a phase but turns into a beautiful lifestyle for healthy living🙂
